​Lina first looked at programs in the UK, assuming native-speaker teachers would be best. But after speaking with me, she realised that a program in the Philippines might suit Sofi better.

UK lessons are great, but in groups. For a shy, very young student like Sofi, they can be a mis-match.  So I recommend a Parent/Child program in Cebu:

• 1:1 lessons tailored to Sofi’s level 

• A focus on school skills (reading, writing, grammar)

• Patient teachers

• Her mum by her side (same school; different rooms)

This plan allows Lina to also take 1:1 lessons to brush up her own English while Sofi is studying.

Lina is unsure at first, but she trusts the logic. Within 1 short week, Sofi becomes more positive about English.  She goes home & is thrilled to show off her new skills in English class.  Her grades start to improve, & keep improving.
